phooey

weee i tuned in just in time to see torres score.

what was i doing watching the manchester united-liverpool match?

(on the tiny screen on the mosaic, whats more.)

well i was really bored from memorizing tedious stuff about cell signaling and suddenly remembered, there's a high-profile match today!

luckily i tuned it at an interesting moment, the rest of the match is pretty much blahblahblah till someone scores again.

and on the small little mosaic screen its difficult to even discern who's who much less where the tiny little ball is.

(all i saw was a little black figure dragging on a little red figure which proceeded to score, so keeping in mind liverpool are called the reds it was a logical conclusion.)

but it is really interesting how seriously ppl take this stuff, because even from a little small screen (luckily the sound doesnt shrink) you can hear how extremely vocal the crowd is - though the sound is pretty much limited to OOOHHH during bad times and AAAAAHHHHH!!! during good times (must be hard to enunciate when you're a giant amoeba made out of thousands of people) - and its hard to imagine that at this point of time said thousands of people are yelling together.

why do they CARE so much?

its not like they're the ones playing.

oh wait, i just remembered. betting! of course.

so lets see, people bet on people, on horses, on dice, on cards, on coins (who never did heads or tails before?) and on chickens (rooster fighting).

i wonder whats next.

ooooh liverpool just scored again! some bald guy did it though.

and now a black shirt is on all fours with his head on the ground.

you gotta pity him, he's having a meltdown in front of a gazillion people.

which means liverpool won the match!

weeeee.

the thousands-of-people-yelling thing does seem pretty cool though, makes you want to be there just to experience the atmosphere.

but then again im not going anywhere until after stinking As.

sigh.

well taa, till next time something remotely interesting happens.
