cry-ogenics

just in case you were wondering (im not really sure why you would be, but hypothetically if you were) yes, there IS a practice of freezing dead people in liquid nitrogen in the hopes that in the future, technology will advance to a stage where the damage done to the body can be repaired and these people brought back to life.

and some frozen dude has been waiting since 1967.

and if you cant afford to have your body frozen, no biggie!

they'd chop off your head and just freeze THAT because: 'The theory is that only the information contained in the brain is of any importance, and that a body to contain the revived brain could be easily cloned or regenerated at some point in the future.

isnt that just reassuring.

they could store your head in a freezer for a gazillion years and then you'd come back with a new body.

(at what age would the body be though, i wonder. maybe they'd harvest the embryo first and wait for your headless body to grow to your head's age before reattaching you again.)

just a random example for those of you who want to do technology questions.

taa!
