so mid years are over with a big bang.

which was when i was imagining holding a gun to my head when i encountered the maths paper.

you know how questions always seem so easy and approachable when you're at home leisurely doing them, and everything fits and somehow just goes right.

you'd be all 'oh pffft this is too easy i dont need to do any more questions!'

then in the exam hall the paper seems to turn against you.

i actually wondered many times whether there were typo errors in the paper, because so many little things just didnt fit!

i steamed for a while inside thinking how terribly unfair it was that they had set certain values wrong causing us to puzzle over it forever wasting our time, before i spotted some little mistake i made which invariably led to the whole thing being wrong.

but of course there werent such happy endings to all the questions.

i silently cursed the examiner for setting all the 'hence' questions so when you cant do the first one, you basically dig your own grave.

but of course i was slightly cheered after the exam when my silent but lethal griping was echoed all over the classroom.

everyone was in the spirit of 'let's all fail together!'

not the best of things to hear, but soothing all the same.

anyway afterwards i went to watch the zohan movie at jp.

it is absolutely the funniest movie ever.

though there were numerous heartfelt 'eeeeeew' moments, the idiotic disco scenes totally made up for it.

the whole movie seemed produced with the sole aim of making fun of everything and everyone.

which is why it is definitely a must-watch (but not with your parents. or grandparents. or any old people, esp old women).

anyway on a very random note.

yesterday it just occurred to me that i dont exactly see the rationale behind royalty being known as 'blue blood'.

there was a long thought process behind it which occurred to me when i was tossing and turning (or rather rolling and kicking) in my bed having an insomniac moment.

it all started when i went to the toilet and noticed the mirror and the clock behind it which made me think of this commercial for 'incredible tales' i saw regarding some myth behind saying 'bloody mary' 3 times in front of a mirror at midnight (green ghostly light and scary girl with long uncombed hair, the usual) which somehow linked itself to one episode of incredible tales i DID watch about curses and such which THEN led me to the movie penelope (which i'd actually watched at home because my parents somehow procured the dvd in china before it even came out in singapore, not knowing anything about it) which, if you havent watched it by NOW is about this piggy faced girl and something to do with blue-blooded true love.

wait that sounds wrong.

*spoiler alert* wouldnt that mean she was truly in love with herself?

strange.

anyway! the point is i arrived at the conclusion that there seems no reason why royalty is known as blue blood.

isnt purple the official royal (and gay) color?

wouldnt purple blood sound more cool anyway.

when i think of blue blood what comes to mind isnt exactly kings and queens but rather lack of oxygen.

not exactly the most flattering of things to inherit from your lineage.

well i shall leave you to ponder upon my deep wisdom, more updates after i watch wanted!
