we are a fraternity of assassins

so everyone i have watched wanted!

and it is actually, unexpectedly, pretty good!

when i saw the trailer i just expected it to be another geek-to-super-cool-assassin movie (oh my gosh i am appalled at myself i actually spelt assassin wrong and had to look it up) and didnt put much stock in the way of its plot, but i was pleasantly surprised when the twist in the storyline was revealed!

oh yes. spoiler alert. though you've already read it now.

so sue me.

anyway back to what i was saying.

i hadnt expected much in the movie content-wise (goodness knows i hadnt been so eager to watch it because of its deep profound storyline) but it delivered a good combination of action, geek-inspired humor, and some intellectual material.

yes, SOME.

but the sci-fi dabbled here and there just didnt sit well with it.

and when i say sci-fi i mean more than just the weird loom of destiny thing (oops spoiler again).

i include the bullet-curving thing so widely advertised, the fact that one guy with $14.95 in his bank account can execute an incredibly foolproof assassination all by himself and angelina jolie's immaculate hair which doesnt seem to ever move out of place despite all the blowing around under my definition of 'sci-fi'.

but oh well all in the spirit of entertainment.

now all i need to watch is prince caspian.

yea yea so i havent watched it yet.

i WILL soon.

so taa!
