rubbish dump

because i had so much time on my hands yesterday night and i didnt feel like doing anything productive (like i ever do) i decided to watch speed racer.
the movie, not the horrible cartoon show.
not that the real-life, real-people version differed much from it, the entire thing having been shot in full glorious painful computerized background and lighting.
though there was no plot to speak of whatsoever, though i spent half the time laughing and rolling my eyes at the sheer outrageousness of it all, though the neon colors were insanely irritating, though the kiddy theme song made people cringe, i did come away with one important realization.

rain is actually quite ugly.
not that i thought he was good looking to begin with having never seen him before - except maybe that shampoo ad on the bus a gazillion years ago - but i would think some bigshot jap (or korean? or taiwanese?) singer would look better than that.
i bet you're just rolling your eyes right now.
i mean come on, its speed racer, what important takeaway did you expect?
anyway, this entry is not full of crap i do have one important thing to post.
the tear it up video.
ok to be fair its the halo AND tear it up video but since im not involved in halo my main interest lies in tear it up.
which i had helped choreo (a little) and teach (even less).
so its more of brenda's baby but hey, i still have a small stake in it.
the front part is yanqing's lyrical hiphop group, then its US!
and if the second half of the video bears any resemblance to the second half of this...
or a LOT of resemblance to that, actually...
then it just shows that great minds think alike now, doesnt it.
hahahahahahahah.
anyway if the video seems biased towards me it is NOT MY FAULT, i wasnt the one taking it (OBVIOUSLY).
but it WAS taken with my camera so the taker probably thought the takee would like to see herself.
to which i am grateful because of course i do want to see myself (its not a narcissistic or vain thing come on, you have to watch yourself or how would you know how you're doing?) but i do also want to see the overall effect and how the rest did.
but oh well, you cant have it all.
sorry to all the others who cant see themselves because i think this is the only decent video there is.
i would post the jazz but it was quite uncoordinated and not very nice so i will post it when we take a nicer one.
and i would ALSO post the falling out choreo (or what we have of it for now) but we have yet to TAKE ONE.
