student's day

2006-08-31 5:53 p.m.

there's nothing funnier than seeing teachers dressed up like students dressed up like rebels.

it was the only event actually interesting, because the other items were boring and simply orchestrated to flatter teachers. all except the martial arts dance item, of course, which held no relevance whatsoever to teacher's day unless they were portraying what students would like to do to teachers?

before that was an utter and complete waste of time, rotting in class because the aces workout was cancelled thanks to the rain.

after that i went ice skating with yz because junhui decided to go off with amanda, tan min had some sort of TUITION, dionne wanted to go see her pri school classmates and zhuqing wanted to go home, pah.

we bought nail buffers each at aries after being influenced by junhui and started buffing our nails whilst queuing for lunch, which must have looked really dumb but still was too much fun to resist.

we met merrie and some other ppl at long john's silver or mcdonald's and went up to the rink. it started out relatively empty, with only a few people and some professionals practicing, but soon filled up to a dangerous amount, most of them armed with the metal aid bars which seemed to jump into our paths from out of nowhere. it was challenging enough maneuvering through them, when the PIPSQUEAKS came.

im not referring to cute little kids but annoying, unpleasant-to-the-ear girls, who screeched and squealed with every movement they made and linked hands with fellow pipsqueaks to form impenetrable human walls which others had to either GO AROUND or CRASH INTO which would simply illicite further shrieking.

after the pipsqueaks, the HUMAN CLOT arrived. this consisted of a huge bunch of students who went around in a large group and refused to be split up. they went to the toilet together, bought food together, and of course went on the ice together which would have spelled potential catastrophe had the other skaters not been saved by the fact that they were taking lessons and so were kept behind the wall of orange cones.

still, the rink was uncomfortably full and when yz and i (both not TOO steady on our feet and without the ability to stop on command) started playing catching, a number of little crashes happened, with both of us stretching to incredible positions to avoid falling unto the ice, esp since only one of our hands each were gloved as we only bought one pair of gloves, to save money.

still it was fun enough, and we did more than simply go round and round the rink.

after that we went to this fashion, alano and some shop named this budget outlet. it was really strange why all 3 of the shops didnt combine into one, because this fashion contained alano's clothes and this budget outlet contained BOTH this fashion's and alano's clothes.

its not surprising why we didnt find anything suitable for us after going to all three shops, because the clothes they sold were essentially the same design.

i wonder how everybody else's teacher's day eve was.
