the buildup to this was probably more than the actual thing itself though, ha.
5 days before - fashion show at xen!
yes the pictures are totally random and in no order whatsoever plus i still cant figure out who the 2 people in the shadowy shot were (one of them should be singxuan, based on the spikey hair) but it looked cool so i put it in!

2 days before - sakae buffet with classmates!
the table of food wasters who couldnt eat much and only managed 24 plates. (i.e recreational eaters)
and the table which finished 40+ plates. (i.e competitive eaters)
one of the many many group shots we took which almost got the poor waitress into trouble.

1 day before - birthday surprise at xen!

(though i might not post them even if i do get them because i was horribly disgustingly sweaty and dishevelled since i was in the middle of shine class when brenda pulled me away to 'help' her with something, haha. but it was a really nice surprise anyway, to see the cake and card when i totally didnt expect anything. so thanks again to those who were there and who wrote on the card!)
TODAY!
watched dance subaru with ex-nanhuarians!
who are all quite happy to be ex-nanhuarians, i think.
the movie itself was boring, and we didnt do much besides walk around and eat stuff we saw anyway, so i shant elaborate much.
and i would post pictures, but since so many are unglam shots of me i shall not.

2 weeks later - union square!
nothing wrong with post-birthday celebrations.
went with dionne and her brazilian friend angela to finally make use of our legally-18 status (though sadly no one asked), and coincidentally a horde of xen people were there as well.
it was supposed to be ladies night at union but apparently with the recession going on ladies need to pay $1 for entrance now.
which is why we went in super early before anyone started guarding the door, because that was $1 more than i had.
but still, it wasnt as fun as last time.
probably because both of us are so incredibly rusty at salsa, having not social danced for 73817598151 years.
there were some funny parts though, mostly when people were dancing bachata - because they seem to think everyone's gaze is so intent on their butts no one is looking at their faces.
which is what we did, of course, just to be contrary.

i had really milked it for all it was worth.
and yes i know this post has been insanely picture-heavy but hey, i dont camwhore anything except during milestones like my 16th and 18th birthdays so yes, i am still a very deep and intellectual being!
