so im updating live from JAPAN!!
where its snowing.
where i obtained a huge bruise on my hip and 2 blisters on my feet from various misdemeanors between me, the ice and snow and winter wear.
annoying though it may be the abovementioned ice and snow is actually kinda fun.
we (that includes almost my entire extended family) just got back from skiing (the only good thing about that being the hot caucasian guy who happens to be our instructor) and sledding/building snow monsters/swimming in the incredibly thick and fluffy snow outside.
the swimming by the way, is because the thick-and-fluffy-snow is so thick and fluffy you sink into it, up to chest level, and have to struggle out.
which doesnt bode well for snowman-building, hence the alteration to snowmonster-building.
another good thing about the cold weather is the SMOKE that comes out your mouth when you breathe!
its just so cool i cant get enough of it.
(another cool thing here is SNOWBOARDING! i have yet to try it after 2 years of harping. but unfortunately abovementioned hot guy does not teach snowboarding. decisions decisions.)
anyway, its very weird that in sushi restaurants (of course we eat sushi here) you need to wear your coat into the toilet because its so freezing but the toilet bowl is warm.
and not in the disgusting someone-was-just-here kind of way but in the nice electric-heaters-underneath kind of way.
and all the toiletbowls come with bidets or whatever, the butt-washing devices.
which is all fine and well but that means there are a million (ok, 3 or 4) buttons all in japanese so you dont know which one to press.
thus i ended up standing in the freezing toilet for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to flush the darn thing when i finally realize that the flush is situated at the normal place and not at the stupid buttons.
and it has 'da' and 'xiao' written on it.
such a joke.
skiing tomorrow again.
