jae results in 2 more days!
i shall start a countdown, im so excited.
whilst this is a celebratory situation for some (namely me) it is a cause to mourn for others (namely dionne).
today i crashed her class's farewell party at east coast (because i was house visiting at east coast myself, how coincidental) and met the reason for her mourning, namely her dance-crazed friends lei hoi and the funny guy jun something or other.
was really interesting watching them, lei hoi esp, since her latin dance background seemed to have given her incredible amounts of confidence - enough for her to sidle up to anyone (even dionne and i) and sultrily stare into her poor victim's eyes whilst hooking her leg around theirs.
i just about laughed myself silly watching them.
esp when jun something or other's ears turned furiously red when she did that to him.
he seemed to have a problem with close contact - even when it is NOT THAT CLOSE by dance standards - esp with ppl he doesnt know.
the ears were a really reliable indication.
but i was really impressed watching him dance with lei hoi because they kept eye contact almost constantly (and not in a way that makes the audience want to look away like when some ppl dance bachata), but more in a cute romantic kind of way.
seeing them spurred me and dionne on in a quest to find a permanent partner to train with (but only in the distant, distant future, after A levels) since it seems so much more fun to just train with one person as compared to social dancing with a million.
but once again that is in the distant, distant future, after A levels, which is like this great grey cloud hanging over our heads now, so soon after the last grey cloud (O levels) cleared, bleh.
i hate the education system.
anyway! on a random note, yesterday was oh-so-fun.
ive missed saturdays like that, just hanging around having fun with no pressure, socialing like crazy.
such feelings of nostalgia!
but now me and dionne have a new catchphrase: AFTER A LEVELS.
its just a slight variation to our old phrase: AFTER O LEVELS.
so for now, we'd personify nerd and nerdier.
