i realize that if i dont blog within the first 5 seconds of having a thought i end up forgetting what it was i wanted to write about.
the same thing happens when i leave my things around, except with the time frame shortened to 2 seconds.
anyway, (5 seconds ago) i was watching the history boys - strange, complicated movie - when it suddenly hit me that, amidst the strangeness, those people were actually striving for the exact same thing as me.
personal perfection in every aspect.
ooh ha-ha-ha did you actually fall for that.
why strive for something you've already achieved?
it was the A levels and admission into university la.
though in their case their university choices were limited to cambridge and oxford.
i couldnt help wondering if the movie was true in that sense, and if around the world other A levelees are memorizing literature and studying songs and poems to use in their GP essays while here in singapore (and more specifically, in aj) we're yawning through gp lessons with a painfully incompetent teacher, doing little mindmaps and learning nothing whatsoever.
gah. at this rate we'd never survive through the a levels.
