today was interesting. and yet, very, very boring.

well its good friday. my original plans were blown out of the window when i found out that there was church.

so in the morning we practiced the sunday routine instead of the friday, and went up to fifth floor.

unfortunately i didnt find the service very interesting. but then again i rarely find ANY long talks interesting.

then we had a sort of 'reflection' time. i found huilun dora and shiying, who apparently were equally bored. we went down to the first floor and spent a miserable half hour there, listening to shiying and huilun hammering the piano.

then we went to burger king and dora got some funny round fried things that tasted like a cross between french fries and nuggets. there werent that many ppl there because apparently many ppl are fasting today.

then we went back to church. along the way we spotted my grandfather and 2 of his friends, equally old, sitting in hot spot seemingly in some sort of interesting discussion. my grandfather was gesturing with his hands continuously. so we pondered over the mystery of what old grandfathers talk about all the time.

hair problems, maybe. or discussions about botox?

so anyway we went back to church and to the playground to bounce on that springy bridge thing. the bunch of us looked so juvenile, bobbing up and down and laughing hysterically. no wonder the kids love it so much, it was actually really fun.

the forgotten wonders of childhood.

then we went up to the second floor because third floor was inhabited by slime and co. another hour was spent there doing moronic stuff like hammering on yet 2 more pianos and attempting to do the french braid, with disastrous results.

finally, the service upstairs ended. i fully intended to go ahead with my original swimming plans, until it started to rain.

what wonderful timing.

so i had lunch and went back home. at tanco, i saw a person with the disfiguring disease. it was really freaky. a long time ago i saw the story of another infected person on ripley's believe it or not and thought it was some really rare disease that would never turn up anywhere near me. seeing that person calmly smoking in the restaurant was near enough to have freaked anyone out.

i should have just gone for the retreat and not stayed over, which REMINDS ME.

i have a SCORE to settle with stupid toot dora, who claimed that weien, peishan, vernicia and michelle were ALL going to the retreat. apparently, peishan had sent her an sms confirming that. i almost agreed to going to it after hearing that, and would have, had i not wanted to go swimming more. but then!

who do i see online but peishan herself? she hadnt gone for the retreat, and didnt think vernicia or michelle were going either! what's more, she had NOT sent dora anything at all.

isnt this suspicious?

anyway. i just visited tan min's blog and apparently there's this thing called eosophobia. it would be so weird if i were to suffer from this.

which reminds me of the ridiculous name for the phobia of long words. now THAT is the definition of ironic.
