ac

school has started for 2 days.

what can i say about jc life?

er....nothing.

because i havent exactly experienced it yet, its just been orientation so far.

i can officially say that i am not a scream-and-shout, drop-into-the-mud-and-roll, dunk-myself-in-dirty-water kind of person.

ok there hasnt been any mud-rolling yet but i have a feeling its just a matter of time.

generally the programme at ac follows the sequence of assembly, talks, talks, more talks and then orientation games.

for me its rush to school, try to stay awake, realize my attempts are futile, sleep, sleep, sleep more and then try to stay clean during the games (though that hasnt been a tough job so far, thanks to divine intervention).

ive been told the fun is in getting dirty and wet but being nice as i am i'd leave that to the others.

and as for the talks...well i just cant stay awake.

i'd start off feeling a little drowsy, some pressure building in my head forcing my eyelids down, then gradually tune out and fall asleep.

ee peng tried waking me up many times but each time my consciousness lasted a shorter period of time.

in my defence, i DID TRY!

even when one of the teachers interrupted the talks to announce that there were rude people chatting and blatantly falling asleep (making me feel all guilty and squirmy) her voice gradually dulled and became a gentle lullaby sounding from far away.

my body is probably trying to make up for a month of sleeping at 6am and waking up at 10am.

and there i was thinking i was superhuman already.

anyway!

it is actually rather amazing how ppl i never spoke to in nan hua before could actually end up being like my best friends now.

probably when you're thrown into a sea of strange new faces the relief at finally seeing someone FAMILIAR (however vaguely so) makes for instant friendship.

and how that random girl you tapped on the shoulder on the first day of school (because she was sitting the nearest) to ask a question could gradually get assimilated into your bunch of talkable people.

i wonder how the nj ppl are doing?

and the jj ppl who are in the midst of their 3 day 2 night camp (evil snicker) which cost them $70.

oh i guess ac isnt too bad after all (in comparison).
