of irritation and whining

2008-12-02 2:40 p.m.

am i the only one having loads of problems with the himalayas posing as our holiday homework?

first i try doing maths but get so discouraged after taking a whole DAY (with lots of irritated breaks in between where i walk off to do something else because i cant get the question and end up forgetting that i was doing homework altogether) to do a few questions, so i switch to gp but its equally insane because we have ELEVEN insanely difficult passages from the 2004 prelims of ELEVEN insane schools.

we have to do one full comprehension, read ALL ELEVEN STINKING PASSAGES, pick out difficult words, do THREE FULL AQS and pick out AT LEAST 2 ARGUMENTS FROM EVERY ONE OF THE PASSAGES.

actually, each school set 2 passages each so when i say eleven schools that actually means 22 passages.

2 arguments from every passage would be 44 arguments.

oh and ha-ha-ha apparently i forgot about the 15 reading tasks.

and the analysis of the VJ paper 1 questions.

and that's JUST GP.

i havent even LOOKED at the other subjects (save abovementioned few questions of math) yet.

and as if that wasnt enough i realize, too late, that i have too many dance commitments.

studio wu, o school and xen altogether, plus a brief foray into rhym gym.

ooooh and did i mention i now have mirrors in my room so i spend a goodish time there too.

and my sleep cycle is still screwed.

i spend every waking minute resisting temptation to go back to sleep.

except at the wee hours of the night when i am SUPPOSED to be sleeping, in which case my body will stubbornly refuse to.

excuse my litany of complaints, i am just rather pissed that what was supposed to be a nice, relaxing holiday ended up so screwed up.

i blame it on the homework, primarily.

now i understand the feeling drunks get as they slouch at the bar alone, guzzling alcohol.

i do the same whenever i face my homework, slouched at a desk with an evil look in my eyes, drowning my sorrows in water (which does nothing but force me to the toilet an inordinate number of times).

i knew i should have gone to poly...
