sentosa

fum is weird.

that is my sentence of the day.

well we went to sentosa! it was rather fun. dora brought gretchen along, and somehow persuaded fum to go along as well. unbelivable, really.

firstly we went to the butterfly and insect park. it was more skin-crawling than amazing, what with all those dead and alive creepy-crawlies everywhere. i managed to hold a butterfly, HA, but only for a few seconds because 'rara' insisted that it was evil and kept shoving me till i let it go again.

fum seemed to b greatly tickled by the name 'rara' and kept teasing dora about it. he also started his lying fit after that and annoyed everyone because of his lying.

as we were walking along the path outside the insect park with no real destination in mind we passed by the luge. after much debate and persuasion, dora FINALLY agreed to go on it. the ride down was rather funny, what with fum persistently trying to corner dora and her consistent driving into grass. we went up the chairlift after that, only to go back down again at the cost of $3.

at the counter we mistook the shopkeeper's money as our own and was trying to find out whose it was when the shopkeeper exclaimed loudly: 'that's MY money!' it was sooo hilarious.

well since we were around palawan beach by the time all the riding up and down was done we decided to go to 7/11 for lunch. a tram drove by as we were still eating and as a last-minute decision (we made a lot of those) we boarded it, food in hand. it went all the way to dolphin lagoon and because of another last-minute decision we alighted and went to cinemania.

the rides were totally PATHETIC. it was more jerky than thrilling and the theatre was filled with the sounds of ppl saying 'ow' instead of screaming.

since fum and i were broke after that we went to siloso beach. on the bus ride there, gretchen, dora, and some japanese people kept giggling maddeningly about something. in the end i discovered that the japanese ppl had been talking to gretchen, somehow found it funny, and started laughing. their laughter had been so infectious that gretchen and dora joined in even though they had no idea what they were laughing about. weirdos.

we finally got to the beach. there seemed to b nothing to do at first, then we saw a big rock and went over to it. i tried to climb the stupid thing but almost fell and ended up scraping my ankles and palms instead, whilst fum scrambled up like a chimp and sat up there looking down on everyone. we left him sitting on his rock and went to delifrance because gretchen and dora wanted to eat.

fum joined us a little while later and i tried out my lie-detector test on everyone. it didnt really work so well, but only because they were so in-cooperative.

well since we were all bored after that fum bought a frisbee. we spent a moment played that but since nobody could throw very well we decided to build a sandcastle.

we started a wall, then abandoned it and re-started at a new location 3 times. but since the tide kept ruining everything we tried to build a sort of dam, which didnt work of course. we looked like beavers, squatting on the sand and digging furiously.

well the end result was: 3 half-walls, a big hole and 2 lines of holes extending from the central hole. we gave up trying to make it look more like a castle after a while and started making mud balls to throw instead.

gretchen and dora actually bought sandals at a sentosa shop, where the price of everything is doubled. lifestyle of the rich but not famous.

well we were all really tired after that, so we just rode the beach tram, eventually ending up back at where we'd started. hm.

should i go to pulau ubin tomorrow?
