i had a rather interesting, albeit annoying, day.

well church was the usual blah blah. the 1520 ppl were there again, wonder why. pee played the piano, sheila the guitar, xinhua and weiqian sang whilst aaron and amos stood awkwardly next to them as ornaments or something.

after the sermon we went to someplace near fort canning and the singapore river. weihua, vernicia, some other girls and i had a riverboat ride which we spent standing at the bow of the boat, completely ignoring the seats. at least 6 ppl took pictures of us because nobody else was weird enough to stand right at the head of the boat, where there was no railing to stop you from toppling over. dora and peishan had some singing thingy and couldnt join us .

speaking of singing, dora and i discovered recently that guan hong is actually in a choir. of all the ccas, that has to b the least likely one i would think him to join. next to dance, of course. or something stupid like water ballet, HA. or cheerleading!!

well after that i went out with my family for dinner and a movie, though dinner is an overstatement for what we ate. we left at 7.05 for our 7.30 movie, and bought 'dinner' from various stores to take into the theatre. it consisted of only chicken, some white pastry things, fruit shakes, hot dogs and popcorn.

we watched the 4th harry potter movie. i wont reveal the reason as to why i was so amused when the idea was voiced. anyway, the movie has been rated 4 on a scale of 1 to 10, by me. it deterred so badly from the book that supposedly gentle, wise dumbledore was strangling people, shouting, and practically dancing about with impatience. the book also didnt mention barty crouch junior's tongue problem.

there was a serious time management problem, too. the quidditch tournament was grossly understated, whilst the dragon and moaning myrtle parts were dragged out.

i wont even go into all the costume problems, because there was another big annoyance throughout the movie.

DORA.

she persistently sms-ed and called throughout the whole 2-hour long movie. my phone vibrated, mewed, and vibrated some more. when i finally switched it to silent mode it danced irritatingly in my bag.

well enough about that. im going to sentosa tomorrow and im bringing a giant floppy hat if i can find one, since i seem to always get sunburnt there. who was it that said that asian skin doesnt burn?
