2007-07-14 10:29 p.m.

today marks me and yuzhu's long-awaited 10-hour flag day.

or rather supposed-to-be 10 hours flag day.

the first hour was spent on being late.

second hour on wandering around orchard.

third and fourth on watching harry potter at cathay.

which i will add was mighty weird.

towards the end there was a little too much dust and whatnot and i didnt understand what was going on.

i also dont understand why voldemort didnt have a nose.

the casts' fake facial injuries werent really strategically located like they usually are to catch the audience's eye and make their hearts pang.

they were instead all over the place.

harry potter had 3 random scabs and luna lovegood some strange round wounds on her forehead.

yes i know im insane to notice these things and ignore the main content.

so ANYWAY ignoring this digression.

5th hour of cip was spent getting from orchard to chinatown.

orchard is so lined with shops designed to grab your attention it would be rude to resist.

we're really polite people.

the sixth, seventh and eighth hour was spent actually doing what we were supposed to do; selling flags on the street, in case you, like us, had almost forgotten.

progress was slow because people seemed to think we were - if you can believe it - cheats.

no, i cant believe it as well.

then we went to xenbar.

the weight of the donation bag increased wonderfully due to the pouring in of emma's generosity.

last couple of hours were spent slacking on the steps looking pitiful and sad.

later we attended intermediate and, er, 1/4 of basic.

at nine forty i had to leave because i received a Mommy Red Alert.

(big sorry to the person i ditched to go answer it.)

it was one of those rare times something b.lim said actually came into use.

there are NDP rehearsals today which would, i assume, slow down traffic and perhaps even mrts drastically.

so i managed to escape my terrifying ordeal scathed but alive and kicking.

because i can think of no witty way of wrapping this up, i shall abruptly end it now.

taa.
