that song will never be mine

i have never been away from dear bloggo for sooo long.

but unfortunately i now have so much to do i prioritize my stuff according to opportunity cost.

and sadly enough the opportunity cost of blogging is just way too high because it brings me no benefits, except perhaps allow the future wrinkly old me to remember how my 17 year old life was like.

and honestly i would prefer these terrible memories of lectures tutorials and homework to just gently fade away with time, like they are supposed to.

wrinkly old me doesnt need any more wrinkles.

but weirdly enough on fridays i tend to forget this system and just do whatever i like.

today my activity of choice was blog - like, duh - and look for one of the aj orientation mass dance songs because i want to do a spoof of the dance for aj idol.

(because everyone would be able to identify with it since they use the same song and dance EVERY SINGLE YEAR. creativity, people!)

in this case the song happens to be 'that girl will never be mine' by the now-defunct N sync (gee i wonder how long this choreography has been passed down) which is no longer found on music download sites like loudfusion or jamglue because - guess what - its actually year 2009 now!

and so to get hold of this ancient song i had to go find a video on youtube with which to convert into mp3, and the only one with good quality happens to be one that, oddly enough, features britney spears and nick carter and not one hint of N sync.

but of course the true reason i decided to convert this particular video was because i was so terribly amused by one of the comments at the bottom of the page.

'i think its a good thing that girl will never be his. She tends to leave a disaster so bad FIMA has to come in.'

my amusement cannot be put into words.

it comes as a series of muted sputters because i would afterall look stupid laughing at the computer by myself.

i would actually write more but my sputtering convinced my parents that i actually am not doing any productive work on the computer here like they thought (what with all the typing of this long, official-looking document) so im getting booted away.

till next time, taa.
