its totally unconducive to study at home, seriously.

just as i had finally, finally managed to resign myself to studying after a whole day of procrastination (succeeded by 2 whole days of procrastination during the weekend), strange sounds drifted to my wandering ears.

from the house of one of my neighbors came united shouts of 'GO!!!'

What the hell? go where?

for a minute i pondered over the possibility that they were ghost-chasing, because afterall it is the seventh month now.

but i soon realized how ridiculous that was.

nobody in their right mind would chase ghosts in such a rude manner!

despite this strange little mystery i decided to ignore them because i, afterall, have a maths paper on tuesday.

however like festering parasites they manifested in the corners of my brain and i simply could not bring myself to give a damn about maths.

i simply had to SOLVE THIS MYSTERY FIRST.

unfortunately though i couldnt use this pondering as an excuse for my subsequent lack of focus because the right answer hit me in way too short a time, after some thought about singaporeans' excellent enunciation skills.

it wasnt 'GO' i heard but 'GOAL', because tonight is the man u - man city derby thing!

so, curious as to who my neighbors were supporting, i decided to check out the scoring on the match.

unfortunately the score was at 1-1 at the time so my neighbors' loyalties remained a mystery.

and i continued my studying attempt.

but i was continuously disrupted by the GO!! shouts and once even a YAY!! which wouldnt have been so irritating had it not been for the fact that everytime i checked the scoring was even: 1-1, 2-2, 3-3.

what on earth?

(of course the goals werent scored simultaneously because the online scoreboard thingy i was looking at came with time lag and i didnt exactly RUSH to check everytime i heard a cheer, but they would have been relatively close.)

how is it possible for both sides to keep scoring so equally?

although i dont even know my neighbors and shouldnt care who they support (because i dont support either manchesters myself anyway) its just one of those little things that make you wonder and boggle your mind especially when you try to force it to accommodate stuff as boring as maths.

but of course i DID eventually manage to figure out who they were supporting.

because at around 10 something i heard - and i quote - 'YESSSSS!! GOOO!!! YES YES YES YES WHOOOO!!'

ah, they are man u fans.
