astonishing how 2 days can relieve a year's long of stress.
its been nothing but fun fun fun these past few days. starting from thursday, tan min, junhui, dionne and i went to jp for much-needed unwinding due to all the stress accumulated from the a maths exam. we walked around, lingered at shops, went to the library and back to jp to linger some more, before going to dionne's house. we had to wait for her maid and brother to get home first, and our attempts at boo-ing them failed miserably.
we spent some time in dionne's room trying out nail polish and some nail stencil thing she has, then tried to smooth out some details for the competition thing, which is rapidly getting more and complicated. the initial song has been rejected and a new song mixed, causing the routine to have to be adjusted to the music, and thanks to some suggestions by the teacher yesterday the entire choreography might still undergo lots of changes. positions have to be thought of, various formations with 5 people, AND there's still stuff like practicing space, costumes and group name to think about.
how annoying.
anyway yesterday was exceptionally interesting at xenbar because junhui and amanda came for hip hop! but unfortunately, and not so unfortunately, dionne and yuzhu respectively didnt turn up. in the end the teacher abandoned the original choreography due to the large number of new students and taught something completely new (or rather not so new, apparently it was the children's hip hop routine). tan min and i had to lead at one point, which was quite dumb because i kept forgetting the moves and caused junhui to get it wrong too, ha.
just before the class ended yanqing got the regulars to show the original choreography, but the effort was pretty lackluster partly because we had forgotten bits of it already and werent that enthusiastic anyway, without dionne the moral booster ha.
basic was the usual blah, but intermediate was pretty interesting because at one point dionne's skirt got caught in something and a flash of white peekabooed out. she was demonstrating a move with the teacher at that point of time, what's more. yz and i laughed ourselves silly and henry later tsked at us, because it was inconspicuous enough that nobody would have noticed had it not been for our laughter. as it was, EVERYBODY was informed of it and a series of tittering went around, ha.
dionne later changed into her school skirt.
afterwards we spent some time trying to perfect the competition routine, to no avail. so we seeked the teacher's help and in the end she recommended the entire routine be changed. hm. so much for days of hard work. (on dionne's part, haha)
in the end we were freakishly late and what's more, the train was held back due to some technical problems.
