though i really shouldnt b blogging i shall do so anyway, because yesterday was too weird to not.

hm. well it started out relatively normal, with my entire family late for church (as usual), the singing sermon and blah (also as usual) and then waiting for the choir rats to finish rehearsing (AGAIN!).

i realize that quite a lot of ppl in my clique eat with their families, which is quite annoying because it leaves me with no one to eat with.

anyway, dora and i went to bk (as usual) went back to church and to that room that peien always does her homework in, but today she was in study group and wasnt there (not really usual).

then after lunch joy told me that emme was back from thailand and was at tanco, so i decided to go meet her (highly unusual).

well what can i say, she looks pretty much the same! except with blond highlights.

the adults spent some time debating where they and we should go, and in the end everybody went to acm (also rather unusual). before we went there, though, we had to stop to pick up my dad's china colleague, this fussy, auntie-ish widow who was here to check out schools for her son. (very unusual, unpleasantly so)

when we got there my mom and the colleague went off to see the museum, and emme and i followed my dad to where he was supposed to b meeting a business partner (the meeting place was this cafe called dome at first but because it was closed they moved to burger king, haha). the business partner was this indian who lives in london, and had come to singapore just for this meeting (i would say this is unusual).

when they started their meeting emme and i decided to go off on our own, and we walked around clarke quay with no destination in mind. it was highly unentertaining, because clarke quay is known for its NIGHTlife, so the only shops open were the restaurants and g-max (which i would have looooooved to go on, but couldnt because i didnt have enough money for both of us.)

so in the end i decided that we might as well go to pagoda street in chinatown, since i wanted to familiarize myself with it again and see if i could sneak a peek at the jazz classes in xenbar. but somehow i couldnt find the entrance, which is not surprising considering the number of times ive missed it already.

anyway, we took the mrt there, getting lost millions of times and finding our way again, and finally got there. since emme didnt have anything she wanted to buy in mind we just walked along the street looking at the booths. in the end she bought a little jade pendant for alisa at $18, a ridiculous price for a tiny little piece of green rock.

then we went back to clarke quay, and because my father wasnt done with his business meeting we had a snack at burger king and played pictionary (as usual).

well blah blah it was then 6 o clock and there was a family dinner at no signboard (a stupid name, really. its like calling yourself nameless) so we made our way there. everyone was already there, and the Ms were in full horror mode.

somehow we all made it through with various spills, and annoying camera antics. emme got unvoluntary, candid shots of everyone except the Ms, because they were always happy to pose for the camera, strangely.

after dinner we went to swensen's for ice cream because it was javan's birthday, and the Ms were more terrible than ever (apparently that's possible) probably due to all that sugar.

the camera antics continued. i shall not elaborate because they were very idiotic.

well in the end we finally left, to the relief of all the other patrons and the waiters.

what can i say about today? it was boring, and there was post-holiday depression to deal with. not a good start, and there are still 9 weeks and 4 days to go before the next holiday.

sheesh.
