good bye to hokkaido, hello tokyo.
there is WARMTHHHH here.
well technically not warmth but at least it isnt freezing cold and my nose has RESUMED ITS NORMAL COLOR!
today we spent our time at shibuya, the budget orchard road of tokyo, where the bizarre and the fantastical strut their stuff.
students dressed in their uber-hip school uniform (jacket, sweater and blouse with plaid skirt hiked up and long socks), adults wearing a slight variation of that same uniform (except in different colors, with bleached brown/blonde hair, excessive eye makeup, fake eyelashes, fake tan and heeled boots in place of shoes) and the occasional bizarro (girl with pink/red hair, pink/red clothes, black bag with red spikes and pink/red shoes) plus guys who do not look like guys (they come with long hair, perfectly tweezed eyebrows and lined eyes) make for a very interesting sight.
generally the true-blue japanese girls all look, sound and behave the same (hair dyed face made up trendy clothes high-pitched voice, enthusiastic about everything and everyone) which is why we, true-blue singaporeans, stuck out like sore thumbs (hair still black no make up dressed in hand-me-downs normal voice and decidedly unenthusiastic over everything).

AHHH!
oh well.
shall be heading back to singapore tomorrow.
