puffered

woohoo now with a lock on my blog i am free to write whatever crap i want! *insane laughter*

and oil bag wont be able to sue me for calling him oil bag (and a whole lot of other names).

puffer will be locked out and will no longer be able to plagiarize my golden words! *insane laughter again*

anyway today's topic shall be on exams and carelessness.

too bad i applied the lock now, i would have actually loved to rub this in puffer's nose.

anyway.

now having had all our papers returned we've no doubt experienced that feeling of wanting to kick ourselves when faced with a careless mistake.

this is a completely normal human reaction, called self-consolation.

then there are those slightly LESS normal reactions called arrogance.

'you know i could have gotten an A1! i was simply careless.'

in some cases exclaiming that over EVERY paper, like carelessness is the golden solution.

it is not a redeeming factor at all.

being careful is a criteria in exams.

regardless of how you lost those marks, you still lost them fair and square, and they reflect your academic ability, including the ability to mind small details under pressure.

by telling everyone that you could have done oh-so-much better if you werent careless, you're simply broadcasting the fact that you dont have what it takes to do well.

so do yourself and the world a favor and watch those details.
