crack

2006-06-10 1:26 p.m.

i am now officially 15 and a day old.

not like it makes a difference.

anyway yesterday was very very eventful. unfortunately not positively so, most of the time.

to begin with, DORA made me go all the way to CITY HALL just to meet her when actually the dance night thing was held at CLEMENTI, TWO STOPS AWAY FROM MY HOUSE.

when i got there, she thought her other friend was meeting us at suntec city and so made me walk halfway along the city link. in the end it turned out the meeting place was at RAFFLES PLACE, just next to the mrt, so i had to double back and walk the entire looong stretch of city link all over again, when i had STARTED OUT AT THE MRT.

SHEESH.

well anyway i finally met yee hui, whose head wasnt really shaped like a mushroom. not as much as my old (meaning both former and aged) teacher's had been. we had dinner at burger king and played with this lame jack-in-the-box toy thing that came with yee hui's meal.

then they bought sunflowers and we took a taxi to NUS, the exact same place where cultural potpourri was held last year and will b held later this year. they werent allowed to bring their flowers in for some lame reason, and the ushers even wanted to take yeehui's plastic bag because they thought it would make a lot of noise when she walked in and was also a FIRE HAZARD. for goodness sake. if that's the case CLOTHES shouldnt b allowed in, either. or hair. and the tickets shouldnt b made of paper.

the dressing and behaviour of the chij ppl turned out to b very different from my school. majority of them were in tube tops, wore lots of eye makeup, had rebonded hair and wore heels. the end result was an audience that looked to b about 35 years of age, and SCREECHY with it. the SCREAMING was absolutely over the roof, waaaay worse than anything nan hua could ever come up with.

in the end the performances turned out to b quite good, but i cant really remember anything so i wont elaborate.

after the performance, when the dancers were released the chij ppl went absolutely crazy. they shrieked and jumped and crowded, and in the end the ushers had to push ppl away from the newly idolised dancers. we stood there and waited for eons for gretchen and crew to appear, but they never did, and finally yee hui passed the flowers to someone else and we left. sheesh. a lot of time and money wasted.

well today.

we visited this drug rehab centre and had service with the ex-drug addicts, who turned out to b rather normal except for a number of tattoos. the astonishing thing was, the monotonously-voiced, stuffy shirt-and-tie speaker of the day turned out to be an ex-drug addict, had been to jail and back numerous times and used to have long hair (sort of made him resemble vernicia). who would have guessed anyone could travel to 2 such extremes?

after the service we went back to church. the bus ride back was hell, because dora and i had boarded late so the only seats available were at the back with the shaoer ppl and the Ms, who turned out to b unpleasantly hormone-affected and in the end, we decided to move to the front of the bus to stand instead.

when we got back to church, the choir rats rehearsed their performance, AGAIN. i really dont know WHAT they're rehearsing for, because they never seem to perform anything.

then we went for lunch, came back and saw fee fi fo fum. actually just fee fi and fum, because there isnt a fo yet. fee left after a while whilst fi and fum stayed, fi stealing my fries and rehashing old stepped-on-eye events with dora and fum swaggered around in his new big-shot style.

after a while fi and fum left, too, leaving me and dora, and we played pictionary (as usual) which turned out to b very funny. NOBODY, from yz, zhuqing, junhui, tan min to dora, seem to b able to guess the drawing of the sixth sense, though it is SO blatantly obvious.

ugh remedial again tomorrow.
