the only time when u can shout 'pong!' out of the blue and no one will think you're crazy

for lunar new year, i didnt see much lunar activity today.

i did see much solar activity though. it was SCORCHINGLY hot all the time i was out trudging around orchard, then rained the instant i got into my nice, air-conditioned house.

talk about murphy's law.

today was also a day of lots of 'most's.

the most infuriating thing was how a certain someone couldnt act her age. you can have wrinkles and gray hair and suffer the effects of a rapidly lowering metabolic rate, but still behave like a sulking 2-year-old.

hence you have no right to accuse me of being childish.

the most funny thing i saw was a maid trying to handle this wiggling baby who was flapping its arms like it wanted to fly.

the most puzzling thing was when joy and i went to the cathay to cancel a movie booking we made, only to find that no such booking existed.

the second most funny (and incredible) thing was when i stuck out my hand to demonstrate the movement of flagging a cab, only to squarely backhand an old lady across the eyes. gasp.

the most frustrating, hair-wrenching thing was when joy and i traveled all the way to barker road only to realize that we had gone to the wrong cathay before, hence the non-existence of the booking.

they should change the name of those stupid places. this isnt the first cathay-related misunderstanding.

the most wonderful proof of my above point was when the taxi driver who was bringing us back to orchard almost drove past the exit into cathay cineleisure, thinking we meant the other cathay.

the most fancy food we ate today was instant noodles.

i realize that's a bit random. never mind i shall go on.

the most frequent, annoying song i heard was that idiotic rock song the worm sitting on the shoe cupboard plays everytime someone slams the door.

you can guess why i heard it so frequently today.

the most natural thing we did during visitation was play mahjong.

the most amazing thing is i grasped that elusive concept of mahjong usually reserved for the aged.

sort of.

the most strange thing was how sheila, without winning zilch, returned from her trip to the toilet and won 3 times in a row.

the most incredible thing was how we ignored the nearby distractions (named marc and megan) and played for almost 3 hours.

the most weird thing is how im still up and blogging at this ungodly hour.

the most sad thing is im ending the entry now.
