so ive finally watched mamma mia!
and it was, despite the horrendous reviews, pretty good.
though it had a rather saturated feel - kind of like the songs were being forcibly crammed into 108 minutes - and i'd have to agree with the reviews that pierce brosnan's singing was like a donkey braying/water buffalo/wounded raccoon, the rest of it was really funny and light-hearted.
key moments would be the whole bachelor ambushing thing, meryl streep acting 1/5 her age, the 'does your mother know' sequence and everything colin firth does and says.
overall, it was amusing simply because the cast were willing to make complete fools of themselves.
james bond, mr darcy, and umm the other guy doing the saturday night fever together in sparkly jumpsuits makes for a truly hilarious sight.
and their singing-and-dancing stuff are better than high school musical, really!
they dont make you want to cringe.
overall, go and WATCH IT!
