hip throb

i havent updated insuch a long time, mostly because i couldnt b bothered to and also because the one time that i COULD b bothered to, diaryland became extra-loaded and i couldnt access the page.

anyway the past few days, and next few days, were and will be chock-full of dance practices and rehearsals for the kallang theatre performance next next sat! so exciting.

me dionne tan min and amanda went for extra practice last friday for our very own item (named hip throb or something, no idea why.) the teacher added in a whole chunk of salsa in the middle and the resultant song sounds totally hilarious, because right in the middle of a hip hop song pops out some good ol' country sounds.

the steps are kinda funny too, salsa and hip hop merged together. and ONE particular annoying step has me and dionne skinning our knees again and again, sheesh.

then on saturday we had our regular class, and then extra performance practice again for the OTHER hip hop item with the rest of the class. at 7.45 the practice ended but we stayed behind to discuss costumes and stuff, and right after that the teacher informed us we had to go through our own item, again.

it was exhaustion in the truest sense.

but relatively fun exhaustion because we went through the poses we were supposed to do during the transfer from hip hop to salsa. due to our lack of spontaneity the teacher had to spoon feed us our poses, haha.

on sunday dionne and i went for shine and on2, which we apparently are also performing, and eavesdropped on interesting gossip by some of the other ppl.

we also got insight on how nus ppl view nan hua after talking to one of the students there.

rosanna:what school are you 2 from?

me:we're from nan hua high.

rosanna: confused oh... then enlightened OH...at clementi? near nus?

me:yea.

rosanna: oh you all, always taking our space! and we cannot go to clementi, because its always full of nan hua people.

hm. how do you respond to something like that? but its kinda funny really. maybe we should advise the principal to stop holding so many events at the ucc.
