xmas

its christmas day!

ha.

but first i will blog about christmas eve.

it started out relatively fun, with all the little kids and the Ms and shoes and fifi and fum. the tootsy threesome kept locking themselves into a room with the lights off, and they'd just stone in there and call it 'fish land'. dont ask, because i dont know why.

after a while fifi left to go watch the performance and i wandered frm room to room, visiting shoes and fum, then the little kids. after a while i just stayed with the little kids because shoes and fum were doing absolutely NOTHING in the room. fum was just lying on 2 chairs, writing gloomy stuff on the board about needing to grow up, and shoes was just styling her rat's hair.

so i stayed in the little kids' room and watched them scream and shout at each other until the lai chuan dao came, hands on hips, and started nagging at them, looking immensely like a stuffy old grandma.

after a while everyone crowded into one room and i started playing a variation of red hands with fum. it was the most painful game i've ever played, because fum somehow smacks REALLY hard when he concentrates. and all the little kids kept intercepting the game, randomly smacking either of us. sheesh. kids nowadays.

then fifi and shoes went home, fum went off with his brother eugene and some little kid named nachos something or other. and i had to spend the rest of christmas eve with my parents!!! ughhh.

well an agonizing 1 hour with absolutely NOTHING to do passed by really slowly, but i got through it alive. then we went home and i started wrapping everyone's presents. they were all lopsided in the end because i was really tired by that time.

in fact, the ones to the Ms were so lopsided that my mom just rewrapped them today.

well today!

didnt really feel very christmassy in the morning, since everyone was SO dead tired from lack of sleep. in the end we just skipped the 9 o clock service and went for the 10.30 one instead.

i saw dora immediately after arriving at church, and received the news that fum had NOT liked his christmas present, a tiny, irresistably adorable baby terrapin. trust him to b afraid of something like that, the weirdo!

after much persuasion fum finally handled it, but seems to want to kill it as soon as possible, the rude, cruel person. i mean one doesnt exactly talk about killing one's christmas present in front of the present giver!

thankfully the other receiver was much more fond of his terrapin. wimpy's sister cooed over it for ages and brought it with her everywhere she went.

in the end wimpy's terrapin was named 'wimpe' or 'toot toot' and fum's was named mrs fum.

and i finally saw sesame seed, which was nothing much, really. dora seemed rather agitated about getting its name and email address. but then again, it WOULD seem a bit weird to just go up to a total stranger and say 'hi. may i have your name and email address?' tsk.

well after that i went to the Ms house!

they were watching war of the worlds when i got there, so i joined them even though the movie is so crappy. halfway through we were called for christmas lunch, at THREE pm. there should b a meal named 'lunner' seeing as there is 'brunch'.

well after lunch we continued war of the worlds, but had to stop again to take a family portrait. in the end, tom cruise's face was freezed in mid-yell with his mouth wide open really close to the camera. ha.

it started off as A family portrait, but soon became family portraitS. we even had individual families take their own pictures. was quite hilarious, the photo-taking.

we finally finished the movie, and proceeded to sing carols. since it was rather boring i started playing hide and seek with the the Ms and seth after a while.

hide and seek is a wonderful, fun, thrilling game. it is NOT, i repeat, NOT, childish or immature.

well we had a few games and then went back to watch another movie. everyone else was in the living room having some sharing session which i sat through for a few minutes. i quickly left before i had to share something, because i do NOT like saying mushy thankful stuff. its rather silly, really, all the sharing sessions i had to go through today. first was at shaoer, which was a horrible affair because of the burning candle right in front of me. who on earth can speak when they have to hold a burning candle and risk hot wax dripping on their hand any minute? what's more the floor was CARPETED. all it would take was one candle dropping to ignite the whole room.

anyway, we had the present-giving thing and then left because my parents had to go for some wedding dinner.

im gg to china tomorrow! to ski, yeaa. ive been waiting for this for TWO MONTHS since the holidays began!
