grad nite

2007-11-19 1:12 p.m.

yes i know this is late, but here is the entry about GRAD NITE.

honestly the most fun part of the whole day was walking around bukit timah plaza with zhuqing in full prom makeup and dress while we waited for our ride (dionne's car).

tan min and junhui were originally supposed to go with us but eventually found another ride from...

that would be tan min in black if the picture is too small. i must say, whoever took this picture must have uber fast reflexes because i tried to take a shot like this many times but kept failing because one or the other would conveniently move away.

so anyway. the first half hour upon reaching mandarin hotel was filled with checking out what others were wearing and informing late friends of what tragedies lay ahead ('omg got someone wear the same dress as you!').

unfortunately i encountered such a situation.

hopefully nobody noticed.

the second half hour was spent on strolling into the ballroom and - what else? - taking pictures!

dionne and i. finally, someone of almost the same height. (and tan min, i cropped out your intruding hand, hahahaha)

though, of course, no one could beat the queen amazon junhui. i havent got a picture of her though, someone send me one!

jolin, dionne and i. under jolin's fantastic instructions we were all looking at the other camera.

and tan min, outsparkling everyone in the shiny dress.

the other millions of pictures lay unavailable to me in the memories of other phones and cameras.

SO SEND THEM.

the rest of the programme after the picture-taking was picture-taking, more picture-taking and yet more picture-taking.

i doubt anybody really paid attention to the class videos or the food, for that matter.

too bad, it was actually quite good. (the food, that is)

after that was the choosing of mr and miss nan hua.

why couldnt they just call it prom king and queen?

mr and miss nan hua sounds so cheesy.

anyway tess was nominated/crowned/knighted/bestowed with the title of miss nan hua, and the sash was put around her neck.

around her neck.

wasnt it supposed to go across the body?

maybe it was confused for a medal.

i suppose the principal doesnt watch beauty pageants much.

well thus ends grad nite.

unlike dora's school, nobody got drunk or anything.

how boring.
