dancing queen

2006-04-07 5:14 p.m.

ive been bitten by the dionne disease.

im really excited about the salsa tmr!!

but of course not as much as dionne.

she looks forward to next week's lesson almost before this week's is over.

saturdays are now the highlight of her week.

she resents staying back a minute later in school but volunteers for more lessons at the dance place.

but really the whole prospect of having lessons till 9pm is intriguing.

we'd start at 5-6, have dinner till 7, then continue from 7-9. honestly i find the timing incredibly crazy. 3 hours?! how are we going to hold up? but of course, dionne's iron will is unbending.

well, as for today. i was a little late and had to sit at the back, yet AGAIN, because the rest of them didnt save me a space in front, sheesh. thankfully samantha was also late so i had company.

she asked me to go to a talk at her church by some pastor who's supposedly very good and funny. but i dont think ANY talk, however interesting, can grab and keep my attention for more than 10 minutes.

during recess dionne did her exam ballet routine which, strangely, wasnt what i expected, without twirling and swinging of arms. it was more footwork, a lot of leaping here and there and galloping.

then we played freeze and melt which was very stupid. zhuqing stood at one spot without moving at all, constantly getting frozen and unfrozen but not making a difference really, whilst tan min stayed with her, only moving a few inches occasionally. dionne SCREAMED and screamed whenever the freezer was even remotely close to her, but it always helped her escape because the person would b too breathless with laughter to chase.

yz guarded dionne infinitely when she FINALLY caught someone because, i think, it was really hard-won. it was quite funny, really. she was darting back and forth around dionne like a mother hen, chasing us away. really weird, the bunch of us must have looked.

then lessons, blahblahblah. during lunch dionne left for her exam and yz and i tried to fish money off the wall again, but this time, the string broke and the pens dropped down, arghh. this thing is never going to work.

we had enrich lessons in the auditorium which was a joke. nobody ever pays attention to classes held in the auditorium, esp if half of the whole level were there. really dumb idea of theirs.

wheee salsa tmr.
