friday blues

2006-02-16 7:02 p.m.

its thursday, the nicest school day of the week (with the exception of friday. which actually isnt that nice after all because i have cca)

so anyway. yesterday i went to zhuqing's house with yz and tm to do the physics project thing on hot air balloons.

on the bus, i was telling yz about this story my p6 chinese teacher told me about this suicidal girl who jumped off a building. apparently her head smashed into a protruding ledge, exploded, and blood splattered everywhere like confetti.

hm.

strange it seems so unbelivable now.

anyway we found it extremely funny on the bus. to this day yz still thinks i made it up. weirdo.

we finally got to zhuqing's house and spent some time exploring and having lunch. zhuqing and tan min hid the hamster away in a dark closet because they didnt want yz to see it.

to this day, i dont understand why. yz is mean and all but what's the point of hiding the hamster? she has 2 hamsters of her own at home, i dont think she would sabotage it or anything.

well we started on the project, occasionally wandering away to do other stuff. yz found this old piano book and started attempting to play it on the piano. despite it being stupidly easy she couldnt play it, so i helped.

in the end she sang along to the 'supercalifragelisticespeelledocious' song. it sounded SO stupid, what with me playing a grade-1 song one-handedly and her belting along out-of-tune. it really sounded like some 5 year old's first music lesson.

then we moved on to the computer and she started playing tontie. well she sucked so i took over. but i soon got bored and went back to the project and she started vanilla.

after a while i went to the toilet, and in the midst of washing my hands heard a great commotion gg on outside. i calmly walked out and saw:

-yz screaming and laughing and trying to tug away from
-tan min and zhuqing who were gripping her hands and trying to type at the same time
-an msn conversation on the computer screen

so i walked towards the bunch of weirdos and soon understood the situation.

apparently yz had insulted some guy in tan min's contact list, using tan min's msn account. so tan min leapt to her own defense and tried to type yz's name and of course yz tried to push her away and zhuqing joined in and a scuffle broke out.

they were typing stuff like 'yzhg' 'yufh'.

so, to put a stop to the squabble, i calmly typed in 'yuzhu'.

but did the chaos ease? noooo. yz quickly retaliates by typing MY name.

and then the scuffle broke out again, with me included this time.

tsktsk. i forgot how it all ended in the end.

so anyway we finished the project and at six something we left. fortunately i got to play with the hamster for a while before leaving.

and today!

we had malay. wasnt really as fun as usual.

and i managed to borrow digital fortress!

which turned out to b a total disappointment, even worse than deception point. it just lacked the thrill of the other books, plus i have no interest whatsoever in codes and all. knowing that a federal organization can intercept and read any sort of email, anytime they want, is not good, sure, but doesnt really seem like such a monumental problem.

and there were too many characters, too many scenarios, too many twists, too many high-tech gadgets, that it just wasnt thrilling.

conclusion: stick to angels and demons and the da vinci code.

well ta.
