old people have come to mean more to me than just elderly folks.

they're potential donators to charity.

by charity we mean the poor kids who got up so early on a saturday morning to hang around with little tins asking for donations.

but of course when they asked for the cause i simply answered 'poor kids'. no need to bore them with the details.

the tin DID say 'reach out to the needy'. i'd say we qualify.

so anyway. our choice of hangout was the marketplace at tiong bahru because dionne said it was always full of kind-hearted old folks, but when we got to tiong bahru mrt we saw it already staked out by 405 guys.

thankfully they were stupidly located at tiong bahru plaza where kindred people are scarce, hahaha.

and so we began with the 'flagging' of people, targetting nice-looking grannies and families with kids. it was pretty surprising, though, how some incredibly sour-faced elderly would actually smile and come towards us volunteerily to donate whilst some motherly-looking grans gave us the royal brush-off.

we also realized that, wherever we stood, be it the very middle of the entrance, we could always feel a nice cool breeze as people gave us a wide berth and left a clear bare space all around. reasons to take the long way around suddenly popped up, isnt that strange?

i wish i could say it was all worth it when my tin became weighed down with coins, but all i can say is it was darn heavy.

when we got back to jurong east station i bade my tin a final goodbye (i had actually gotten rather attached to it) then forgot all about it when i watched music and lyrics, which was really funny. though once again my choice of companion was lousy as yz made countless loud, stupid remarks that could make even the best jokes fall flat.

i shall now go on to something completely random.

cascada's most known song is 'everytime we touch' and various strange things have been done to the original song.

we've all heard the horrid techno one. but have you heard these?

some of them are just plain bizarre. take note i wont paste the same thing, nor will i paste the horrid techno one i mentioned above, so just keep listening.

and for ha-ha sake here's that funny pop! song from music and lyrics.
